Health Care for All
SC4UHC
was founded in 2007 to educate the citizens of South Carolina about
the problem of the under- and uninsured and to advocate for solutions
that lead to universal coverage.
The
Current System leaves over fifteen percent of the US population without
health coverage, discourages preventive care and early intervention,
produces unacceptably poor health outcomes when compared to other nations,
and emphasizes profit at the expense of patient care.

Vision: Single Payer Health Insurance
While SC4UHC will
be open to any sustainable change that reduces the numbers of under-
and uninsured, our primary focus is to promote a single-payer health
insurance system for all. We believe that a single-payer system in the
form of Medicare for All provides the best model

everyone

access

reduce administrative waste
• and improve
health outcomes.
